Crafted in Evanston, IL, this vintage inspired match strike with tray is hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel by Julia Finlayson. Julia uses a dark clay that is then finished with a glaze. The handcrafted nature of these products may result in slight variations in dimensions and glazes.
Julia Finlayson is a ceramicist who started collecting vintage match strikes about ten years ago. She loved the history, the ritual, and the aesthetic of match strikes, and began experimenting with her own shapes, sizes, and color glazes. A new generation of match strikes was born!
